So close

I just wanted to let you know, that I am going to have that last discover payment done by july.  I just need to get through this winters slower hours.

Don't give up.   You can get there.

Show of a victory

We have now one paid off and now working on the Other one.  At the bottom of the barrel we had around $20,000 owed to discover card.

scared a but.

Some weeks I barely get 40 hours, then other weeks I get A lot of hours.  I just need enough to make it work.  Still scared about getting rid of the bill.  I would still like to get rid of that bill.

January is my last payment for this discover card.  We will still have 2 more years left on our other card.  I can hardly wait to be free from them.

I did get some relief from a big raise at work.  It was eaten up on two more collections.  I am a bit nervous because of the low amount of overtime we are getting on our line.

Right now I am learning how to do facebook apps, working an etsy store, and helping my wife get her candle-embroidery-vinyl shop set up at home.  Hopefully these pan out soon.

I do have faith they will.

Only 6 more months to one of the discover cards is paid off.  Now we have one more discover card to get rid off.  The journey is so close but seems so far.

Good news

Just the other day I received some good news.  I shall be receiving a grant to pay off our home equity off.   This should take off a lot of pressure.  I will let you know when this happens.

I just wanted to put a word of advice to you all.  If you want to apply for grants or any type of assistance, keep all of your financial records handy. 

When you apply for any type of grants or assistance, you will need to have these documents.  So dont throw anything away, and keep it organized.  THis will help get rid of any headaches and speed up the process.

I speak from experiance.   I have qualifed and applied for a grant through savethedreamohio.gov.  I had to search out some of my past tax records.   I almost had to start the process over again.  If they grant me all I can get,  I will have my home equity loan and past due property taxes. 

By the way,  I could of gotten up to $35,000.   Don't give up and drive on.
